We are now looking for an experienced strategic buyer for a qualified assignment within critical infrastructure. The role is suitable for you who have solid experience in strategic purchasing, public procurement, and contract agreements – and who thrives in a technically complex environment with many internal and external contact points.

This is an expert-level assignment where you drive complex procurements from strategy to contract – with significant personal responsibility and a clear business focus.

About the role

You will be part of a purchasing unit responsible for procurements related to both new construction, management, and maintenance of technical facilities.

In this role, you will drive the entire procurement process together with a cross-functional team and be responsible for achieving set goals within given timeframes. The work includes both services, materials, contracts, and technical products – including procurements from international supplier markets.

You will work closely with technicians, project managers, sustainability officers, and legal functions and are expected to contribute both operationally and strategically within the purchasing area.

Responsibilities

Your tasks will include, among others:

• Drive the entire procurement process according to LUF (supply sectors)
• Develop procurement strategy, timeline, and business model
• Conduct market dialogue and business packaging
• Establish and advertise tender documents
• Conduct evaluations, bid reviews, and lead negotiations
• Ensure award and contract signing
• Interpret contracts and handle commercial contract issues
• Support the business in quality deviations, changes, and additions
• Participate in renegotiations and contract development
• Contribute to strategic category management work
• Participate in business development and purchasing-related improvement initiatives

Some of the procurements are international, which means you need to be comfortable with contract documentation and negotiations in English.

Requirements (must-haves)

To be considered for the assignment, you need to have:

• At least 10 years of experience in strategic purchasing
• At least 5 years of experience in public procurement (LUF/LOU)
• At least 3 years of experience in contract procurement (AB/ABT)
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience in purchasing work within the electricity sector
• Experience in procurement of power products
